Little Miss Sunshine

Sheryl Hoover is an overworked mother of two children. Her brother Frank is a gay scholar of French author Marcel Proust, temporarily living at home with the family after a suicide attempt. Her husband Richard is striving to build a career as a motivational speaker and life coach. Dwayne, Sheryl's son from a previous marriage, is a troubled teenager who has taken a vow of silence until he can accomplish his dream of becoming a test pilot. Richard's father, Edwin, is a veteran recently evicted from a retirement home for snorting heroin, lives with the family; he is close with his seven-year-old granddaughter Olive.

Olive learns she has qualified for the "Little Miss Sunshine" beauty contest that is being held in Redondo Beach, California in two days. Her parents and Edwin, who has been coaching her, want to support her, and Frank and Dwayne cannot be left alone, so the whole family goes. Because they have little money, they go on an 800-mile (1,287-km) road trip in their yellow Volkswagen T2 Microbus.

The climax takes place at the beauty pageant. After a frantic race against the clock, Olive is almost refused entrance for arriving at the hotel four minutes late.

1. DID YOU WORK HARD? Yes, I did.

2. DID YOU ORGANIZE YOUR WORK WEEK BY WEEK? Yes. I worked every week on the blog.

3. WHAT WAS MORE DIFFICULT FOR YOU? I thing was the oral presentation, because I had to prepare it a lot.

4. WHAT DID YOU LEARN?( new grammar, vocab..) I learnt a lot of things. New vocabulary, and I advanced in grammar.

5. WHAT DO YOU NEED TO IMPROVE? I need to learn to use more applications of the blog.


CONCLUSION

WHAT'S YOUR BEST ACTIVITY/ACTIVITIES THIS COURSE? I liked to make the video of the recipe, and prepare the recipe. An the role- plays too. And I like read the magazines because are very funny.

- Was your information more superficial or more detailed, and original? My information was superficial but interesting too.

- Did you use rich vocabulary looking up the dictionary? Yes, I did.
- Did you use sentence linkers? No, I didn't. I use the dictionary.

PRONUNCIATION AND INTONATION
I pronounce some of the words correct. I use the dictionary for pronounced them correctly.

My final mark is?.... good, because I haven't got the support of my powerpoint.
